What License is for Medical Assistants?

A CCMA (certified clinical medical assistant) is the license needed for Medical Assistants. There are several national tests that are recognized. The majority of the Medical Assisting jobs require national certification. Here in Lubbock, the two major health organizations, both UMC and Covenant Health Group require their Medical Assistants be certified shortly after being hired.  The Medical Assisting program at West Texas Professional Training prepares students for the National Health Association (NHA) certification exam. After completing the Medical Assisting program at our school, students then take the NHA test at a local proctored PSI testing center. We do everything we can to help prepare for all the elements in the test!  The cost of the exam is $130.
